Executive Director
Dr. Angela S. Gibson
Dr. Angela S. Gibson is the Founder and Executive Director of BTW H.O.P.E. Center. A visionary leader with a passion for youth and community, she has over a decade of experience as a Youth Pastor and National Youth Director.
She created Whiz Kids, a reading program at Trenton Public Library that promotes literacy and creativity in children. As a published author and advocate for inner-city youth, Dr. Gibson is dedicated to helping young people discover their purpose.
She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and two Honorary Doctorates—one in Business and Entrepreneurship, and the other in Divinity. In 2025, she received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding service and leadership.

Director of Operations
Pastor Tina Douglas-Gibson
Pastor Tina Douglas-Gibson serves as the Director of Operations at BTW H.O.P.E. Center, where she oversees the implementation and management of programs, logistics, and administrative systems.
With a strong background in community service and organizational leadership, she is committed to ensuring the center runs efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of families and individuals. Her focus on quality, consistency, and results has helped drive the center’s continued growth and effectiveness..

Deputy Director
Pastor Harvey J. Gibson, Jr.
Pastor Harvey J. Gibson, Jr. serves as the Deputy Director of BTW H.O.P.E. Center, where he supports day-to-day operations and leads efforts focused on family engagement and community outreach.
Known for his dependable leadership and heart for service, Harvey is passionate about building strong family connections and creating outreach programs that meet the real needs of the community.

Board Chair
Jacqueline Gibson - Oscari
Jacqueline Ocasio is a multifaceted community leader and retired professional. She serves as Chairperson of Beyond the Walls Hope Center and holds various roles at New Holy Cross Church, including the Director of Children’s Church, a Deaconess, and a member of the Department of Education committee. She is a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired high school teacher from the East Orange School District, She holds degrees from Southern Illinois University and has a Master of Science in Business Administration. Jacqueline is also a devoted family woman, being wife to Jose Ocasio, mother of 3 adult children, and a grandmother of 2 grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys hobbies such as traveling, reading, line dancing, and exploring her genealogy.

Treasurer
Evette Hodges
Lady Evette Hodges serves as the Board Treasurer at BTW H.O.P.E. Center, known for her dedication, versatility, and heart for service. With over a decade of experience in financial leadership at her local church, she brings strong stewardship and a passion for community outreach. Whether serving meals to families in need or supporting women’s shelters, Lady Evette leads with compassion. She is also a gifted poet, marriage counselor, and devoted wife to Pastor Hardy Hodges, III, and mother to Quinton Hodges.

Lexis Gibson
Lexis Gibson is a dedicated Board Member of BTW H.O.P.E. Center, where she contributes her insight, leadership, and passion for community development. With a strong commitment to service and empowerment, Lexis supports the Center’s mission to uplift individuals and families through programs that foster healing, education, and outreach. Lexis brings a fresh perspective and collaborative spirit to the board, helping to shape initiatives that make a lasting impact. She is especially passionate about youth development, wellness, and creating spaces where every voice is valued. She is a dedicated wife and mother to 3 children.

Board Administrator
Porsche S. Merricks
Porsche S. Merricks is a dedicated leader and the Administrative Officer of the BTW H.O.P.E. Center Board. With a passion for community empowerment and organizational excellence, she plays a vital role in ensuring board operations run smoothly and effectively. Porsche brings a strong background in administration and coordination —helping guide the center’s mission of healing, outreach, prevention, and education with integrity and care. She is the Mother of four children, Jaedyn, Imani, Lewis, and Braxton.
